The exhibition focuses on landscape and urban photographs of the years 2014 and 2015. A special feature are detailed kallitypes up to a size of 120 cm x 160 cm (Roofs of Venice, 2015), which were created in a factory specially designed for this purpose. After half a year of trial work and many modifications, a workflow could be created that allows these formats and combines the charm of a more than a hundred years old craftsmanship with the technical possibilities of modern digital photography. Over time, all work steps, including the creation and printing of the negatives, which have the size of the final images, have been taken over.
A wonderful example is the picture of the place Isola at Lake Sils in Engadin. The format of 70 cm x 140 cm shows the smallest details of the river in the foreground, up to the mountains of the Piz Grevasalvas and the Piz Lunghin in the background. The mood exudes tranquility and clarity. There are only a few people, who are on their hike, follow their work or sit in conversation. The picture could have been created just over a hundred years ago.
The exhibition is accompanied and rounded off by pictures, which were processed as a bar-print or C-print and give an insight into the development of the photographic work.
